#15 - Touching sound: the failure of concepts
with Alexander Köppel

For a full list of works and CV, please click here
Alexander Köppel is an artist, sound producer and spatial designer based in The Netherlands. He engages in multiple disciplines - often in collaboration - researching human perception, the practice and modalities of listening and guiding (into) acts of attention.

Alexander composes with multiple sensory agents to create spatial scenes that invite the audience to be with what is present, to be sincere with their senses.

Manipulated field recordings, distinct spatiality and
textural sounds often form the basis of his musical work.
By speculating on memory, interiority, landscapes and repetition, Alexander aims at stiring up the listener's
imaginary.
